Announcement about the General Federation of Women's Clubs becoming a national partner of the Women's Suffrage National Monument Foundation, dated October 25, 2024.

FEATURED CAMPAIGN:

Women’s Monument Initiative

We’re proud to stand with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs in supporting the creation of the Women’s Suffrage National Monument in Washington, D.C.

The monument will commemorate the suffragists who secured women’s right to vote, catalyzed a movement for change, and transformed American democracy. Our chapter is helping raise awareness and funds locally, including a donation display at 216 N Main Street, Rutherfordton, NC.

Together, we’re honoring the legacy of women who shaped our democracy—and continuing their work today.

Community Service Programs

The General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) focuses on several key areas of service, including Advocates for Children, Arts and Culture, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention, Education and Libraries, Environment, and Health and Wellness.

These Community Service Programs (CSPs) allow members to undertake local and national projects that empower communities and address public concerns through philanthropy, education, and advocacy

    Advocates for Children

Last Holiday season, we collected and donated toys and winter clothing to children in need - helping to spread joy and create memorable experiences for families in our community

  • Table with Cuddle Bear books and plush bears, with a sign for Foothills Women's Society and a message supporting Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts.

    Civic Engagement and Outreach

We’ve supported our communities through the donation of a Cuddle Cot for grieving families, relief efforts following Hurricane Helene, and ongoing collaboration with the Monument Foundation to preserve local history
